In 2020, Pablo Jucker released a solo album under his own name. But then only with acoustic guitar and his clear and warm voice. Almost at the same time, he joined the Julia Heart Band as a guitarist and this opened up a new musical world for Jucker, bringing new wind into his creative sails. After a few weeks, he wrote some songs, but now they came in the guise of soul and funk. Otis Zola was born. With long-time bandmates from The Dues and the Julia Heart Band, under the musical direction of Jucker, an album with a love of detail was created over the New Year into 2022. Fine guitar lines and sophisticated vocal harmonies - or even choirs - are underpinned by light but groovy drums and comprehensive organ. There is something new to discover in every composition. The album sounds familiar and surprising at once.
