Rogue Records is a French label from Toulouse, dedicated to the 7" format, and whose musical tastes are into beat, garage, powerpop, punk, and psychedelia. The label’s name is a plagiarism of the Disques Vogue, who was a well known French label in the sixties. Art will be similar to those ‘60s French EPs displaying large coloured pictures of the group. The first release is an EP of covers by the Jack Cades from England. The band recorded one single in 2018 on Dangerhouse Skylab from Lyon, and two LPs: Music For Children in 2018 on Dirty Water, and Perfect View in 2020 (a joint release between Beluga Records in Sweden and Bickerton Records in Spain). The Jack Cades play freakbeat with a strong sixties touch. Elsa Whittaker played in the Missing Souls from Lyon, her husband Mike Whittaker is also in the Baron Four. The drummer Mole Lambert is the man behind State Records in UK. He also plays in the Embrooks and the Baron Four to name but a few. The four tracks on the EP are covers of the Remains, the Dovers, the Squires, and the Byrds. They were remotely recorded during the 2020 and 2021 lockdowns.
