The heavy doom band from Athens, Greece release their debut album, an unholy mass of wicked lo-fi monstrosity. Seer of the Void is a three-piece heavy/doom metal band from Athens, who were formed in June 2019 and consist of Greg Maddog (bass, vocals), John Amariotakis (guitar) and Ilias Samartzis (drums). Their main musical influences range from Black Sabbath and Candlemass to Electric Wizard and Black Tusk. The three musicians revealed their musical identity early on, both on stage and in the studio. In November 2019 they digitally released their first single, named “Venom Black”. The dark, horror aesthetics of the single’s video clip, combined with its “choppy” riffs and lo-fi sound offer four minutes packed with everything that doom fans adore. In early 2020 Seer of the Void played live with other Greek metal/hard rock bands (Acid Mammoth, Wormhog, Dope of Gods, Under the Sun). In the meantime, they were already working on their first album, titled “Revenant”. The album was mixed and mastered by S_FX at Ritual Studios. In this album Seer of the Void return to the roots of the genre they embrace, offering us a filling record with eight tracks, full of dark mood, intensity, heavy basslines and growly vocals. • Released on November 6th via Made Of Stone Recordings on black 180gr LP and transparent deep purple 180gr LP.
