Athenean post-punk outfit Psychic Readers release their second album “Raygun’s Last Chance”. Blending their new wave roots with ‘60s psychedelic elements, Psychic Readers make songs for love, loneliness, revolution and the outer space! “Raygun’s Last Chance” will be out on February 10th, on their own label, distributed worldwide via Sound Effect. The Psychic Readers emerged from the ashes of the Athenian band T.E.N.S. who after lots of recordings and numerous live appearances in Athens and other cities – culminating in the opening act for The Fall in Athens in 2008 – decided to disband in the autumn of 2009. After a couple of years, two of the members of T.E.N.S. met again and decided to start a new music project. Antonis took the bass and Kostas as always the guitar and gave birth to the Psychic Readers. Their sound, which already began to take form through the rehearsals, was a mixture of post punk drumlines, 60s psychedelic riffs and new wave dynamics. They adopted this same atmosphere during the recordings of the tracks at Ignite Studios in 2018, while the material was mixed by Giorgos Priniotakis at Artracks Studio the same year. This is how their 10-track homonymous debut album was created and then released in limited edition black vinyl by Thinkbabymusic Collective Records on march 2019 The band tells stories, experiential or not, with broad themes, trying to express themselves spontaneously and naturally through music, creating a style that sometimes moves on introverted paths and sometimes in dynamic outbursts, combining the many different influences of the two members. In the end of 2018 Christos Silas has joined the band and has taken the drums and they are working on new tracks in the studio and they appear Live when it comes out.
