Description:

Born on May 28, 1950 in Kisantu, Bas-Congo, Jean de Dieu Bialu Makiese, also known as "Madilu System", "Madilu Multi System", "Grand Ninja" or "Le Grand Pharaon", began his musical career in 1970 as a singer with Papa Noël Nedule's Bamboula orchestra. Later, with Yosha and Pindu, he formed the group Bakuba Mayopi. In 1975, Madilu System decided to strike out on his own, founding his own group, Pamba Pamba. On the strength of his diverse experience, he joined Tabu Ley Rochereau's Afrisa International, where he stayed for a few months. He then joined Franco's TP OK Jazz, making a name for himself with duets with Franco on Non, Mamou (his first hit) and Mario (written by Franco in 1985), followed by Boma ngai, na boma yo to bomana and Dati Pétrole, composed by Simaro Lutumba. Following Franco's death on October 12, 1989, Madilu System left TP OK Jazz to pursue a solo career with his own group, TP Multi System, based in Kinshasa.
